In 2024, The Collingsworth Family released an album full of great classic Gospel songs. One of those was I Am Not Ashamed, written by Dawn Thomas.

On this album the Brooklyn Tabernacle Choir recorded, I Am Not Ashamed of the Gospel. The song swept the nation with it’s powerful message of faith and hope in Jesus Christ.

He’ll Do It Again was powerfully recorded by Shirley Caesar in the late 1980’s and quickly became a favorite in Evangelical churches across the world. It has been recorded by numerous other artists, namely, Margaret Bell, who actually sang it before Shirley, and helped give the song it’s wings. Karen Wheaton and others have powerfully recorded it.

Been Through Enough is another classic Dawn Thomas inspirational ballads. It has touched the lives of those struggling to learn that they can trust God despite life’s challenges and difficulties.

In It After All, recorded by Larnelle Harris, was a Billboard #1, but more important, it speaks of how God was with her even though often times, she couldn’t see His hand leading. Dawn penned the song shortly after arriving in Nashville and signing her first Publishing deal.

Co-written with Gary McSpadden and Pam Thum, Dawn was given the “already written” chous and asked to write the verses. The Talley’s recored it and made this song a favorite among so many Evangelical churches.

This is an uptempo Gospel favorite recorded by Janet Paschal. The blood of Christ cleanses and removes the stain of sin. This song is a cry of the heart from those who feel the burden of guilt and shame, and long for the redeeming grace of Jesus Christ.
